Among its objectives, the MacJannet Foundation has aimed to support the goals of an endowment made by Donald and Charlotte MacJannet to the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University. This endowment provided scholarships for deserving Fletcher students from Europe and in particular supported the exchange program initiated in 1967 between the Fletcher School and the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva. The exchange program permits students from either institution to study and reside at the other institution, thus providing a valued opportunity for academic and cultural exchange in the field of international relations at the graduate level. It reflects the great importance attached by the MacJannets to personal development in a context of strengthened international understanding.
